Sewell Mill is home to the exhibit, Stitching the Fabric of Community in the West Georgia Region which includes the first suit made in the South!
Graduate students at the University of West Georgia began working on the exhibit in January 2011, and it is the first to be completed as a part of the West Georgia Textile Heritage Trail. This trail seeks to educate locals and visitors about the history of textile mills along Highway 27 from LaGrange to Dalton.
Additionally, Sewell Mill proudly displays numerous historical photographs depicting life from days gone by. This exhibit is FREE and open to the public during normal business hours. Special arrangements can be made for larger groups or school programs.
